ROMA v LAZIO BETTING PREVIEW
Roma come into this game having won all but one out of their last eight games across all competitions, including a comfortable 4-1 win over Pescara on Monday, a result that have restored their advantage over Napoli to four points. The Giallorossi are undefeated in 27 of their last 28 home matches. The last meeting earlier in the month saw Roma win the 2nd leg of the pairs Coppa Italia side 3-2, but go out on away goals 4-3.
Manager Luciano Spalletti has no major selection issues as Alessandro Florenzi remains the only name on the injury list. Daniele De Rossi is expected to start this weekend after dropping out last time out, forming the usual midfield pair with Kevin Strootman. Up front, Stephan El Shaarawy is expected to retain his berth on the left side, joining Mo Salah and Radja Nainggolan in the offensive midfield trio behind Edin Dzeko.
Lazio recovered from a three game winless streak and boosted their chances of European football next season after beating Palermo 6-2 last time out. Prior to that, the Biancocelesti suffered a defeat at hte hands of Napoli (0-3) and were held to draws by Cagliari (0-0) and Genoa (2-2). They are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches and currently sit 4th in the table, with a 6 points advantage over AC Milan in 6th. The pair have met three times already this season after being drawn against one another in the Coppa Italia, and Roma have won two of those games and Lazio one.
Federico Marchetti is ruled out through a knee injury, whereas Stefan Radu should be fit to feature following his calf problem. Keita Balde could be benched here despite scoring a hat-trick against Palermo, meaning that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic should therefore play in support of the lone striker Ciro Immobile. The likes of Senad Lulic and Dusan Basta will play as wing backs while Lucas Biglia and Marco Parolo are expected to start in the middle of the park.
