SCOTLAND v GERMANY BETTING PREVIEW
Scotland currently sit fourth on 11 points and could overtake second-placed Poland, who currently have 14 points, with a win over Die Mannschaft. Their chances were hit by a 1-0 defeat in Georgia last Friday. The loss saw Scotland drop out of the top three, overtaken by Republic of Ireland who now lie in the group's playoff place with just 3 games to go.
Gordon Strachan has no selection worries at the moment as Stuart Armstrong and Christophe Berra had earlier withdrawn from the squad. Grant Hanley is expected to return to the heart of defence with Charlie Mulgrew moving to the left flank and Andrew Robertson dropping to the bench. Steven Fletcher is expected to lead the line once again.
Germany have come under some criticism since winning the World Cup but a 3-1 victory over Poland sent Germany top of Group D on Friday. They made a shaky start and won just one of their opening three games. However, they have since won their last four qualifiers and they could even seal their place in France next summer with a victory in Glasgow.
Germany are likely to stick with the same side that beat Poland. Emre Can should start as full back while Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze and Mesut Ozil starting in a forward trio. Jonas Hector will retain his starting berth after a very impressive performance last time our.
Germany recorded a 2-1 win against Scotland in Dortmund in the reverse fixture, thanks to a brace from Thomas Muller. Scotland have won their last four competitive matches at home, but the Tartan Army have lost six of the previous eight clashes against Germany.
