TOTTENHAM v ROMA BETTING PREVIEW
Tottenham got their pre-season off to an impressive start with an emphatic 4-2 victory over PSG. They have continued where they left off at the end of last season and their two most prolific strikers Alli and Kane seem on course for another spectacular season. Spurs will finish off their ICC tournament by facing their Premier League rivals Manchester City in Nashville the Saturday after the Roma game.Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld, Dele Alli and Victor Wanyama came on in the second half in the PSG game and they are all expected to feature from the off. Harry Winks returned to action after a four-month spell on the sidelines and should play at some stage. The likes of Danny Rose, Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko remain sidelined. Kyle Walker-Peters or Kieran Trippier will replace Kyle Walker at right back, as the England international moved to Manchester City. Other youngsters that could play in the second half are Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah, and Tashan Oakley-Boothe.
Roma lost their opening ICC match against Paris Saint Germain on penalties. he match ended 1-1 in regular time, with 20-year-old Sadiq Umar scoring the lone marker for the Giallorossi. The Italians won their two previous friendly matches in the summer, defeating Czech outfit Slovacko 1-0 and lower division domestic club Pinzolo 8-0. Former Sassuolo manager Eusebio Di Francesco has declared he is still not happy with his attacking play as they created a lot of goal chances but struggled to convert them.
Roma fans could get a glimpse of new signings Aleksandar Kolarov and Gregoir Defrel against Spurs. They have also signed Feyenoord right-back Rick Karsdorp, Istanbul Basaksehir forward Cengiz Under, midfielders Maxime Gonalons (Lyon) and Lorenzo Pellegrini (Sassuolo), PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Antonio Rudiger and Leandro Paredes have left the club. New manager Eusebio Di Francesco is likely to name a mixture of youth and experience for this clash. Defenders Karsdorp and Emerson Palmieri are both out through injury.
