TOTTENHAM v EVERTON BETTING PREVIEW
Tottenham are the only unbeaten home team in Premier League and since playing out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in August, they have taken 31 points from a possible 33 at White Hart Lane. They have won their last 8 home league matches and have kept a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7 on their own turf. Spurs are second in the table right now and gave their quest a boost last weekend with a convincing 4-0 win over Stoke City. Furthermore, the Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last eight matches against Everton (3 draws in the last 3 direct encounters).Mauricio Pochettino is sweating on the fitness of duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen and will definitely be without Danny Rose and Erik Lamela. Anyway, Harry Kane has recovered from a minor knock and will lead the line. Behind the English international, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will start as offensive midfielders. Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama are expected to start in central midfield, with Kyle Walker and Ben Davies continuing in the wing-back positions. The likes of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Son-Heung min provide alternatives in midfield and attack.
Everton are performing well enough at present as no Premier League team has collected more points than Everton in 2017 so far. They are undefeated in their last 9 matches and have climbed to 7th position in the league standings, 4 points behind 5th placed Manchester UTD. The Merseysiders have only dropping points away at Stoke and Middlesbrough in recent weeks. Anyway, the Toffees may have been rattling in the goals recently, but they are nowhere near as prolific away from home as they are at Goodison Park...and Tottenham boast the best defensive record of the league.
Manager Ronald Koeman, who is without long-term injured pair Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic, is unlikely to make many changes to his starting XI. Ashley Williams, Ramiro Funes Mori, Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines all look sure starters in defence while Idrissa Gueye, Tom Davies and Morgan Schneiderlin whoudl retain their berth in midfield. The likes of Ross Barkley and Ademola Lookman may well keep their starting spots behind lone striker Romelu Lukaku. Kevin Mirallas and Enner Valencia provide alternatives in the attacking midfield positions.
