Stage 7, from Fougères to Chartres, is the longest of the 2018 Tour de France. The terrain is generally flat to rolling, with a long downhill finish that will suit sprinters. TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 7 BETTING PREVIEW
The longest stage of the 2018 edition is largely flat, with only one unspectacular categorised climb and the finish - although having a 4% kick-up for half-a-kilometre towards the end - is flat for the last 200m.The finish itself is tricky, though, with a right-hand corner tighter than the one that brought down several riders at the end of Stage 2.
It’s only three editions ago that the Tour de France visited the town. In the 7th stage Mark Cavendish outsprinted André Greipel and Peter Sagan in Fougères.
Fernando Gaviria and Peter Sagan have dominated the sprints so far. The Colombian has looked the fastest when the finishes are about out-and-out power, thanks to his amazing team and leadout too (Max Richeze in particular has been superb). The Slovakian might be able to use the short incline that approaches the final climb to stretch Gaviria.
Andre Greipel showed that he might be approaching his best form again on Stage 4, when he finished thrid behind the favourite duo.

Sonny Colbrelli is good for a finish like this too as he has the power and has been able to position himself well.
Arnaud Démare might seem bulky but remember his sprint to win in Paris-Nice while Dylan Groenewegen has been boxed in many times this week but still can’t be discounted. The Dutchman seemed to be nowhere on Stage 4 again, with no team around him at the finish, yet he still finished 4th.
Marcel Kittel and Mark Cavendish have been very far from their best and it's hard to believe that it was only last year that the German sprinter won 5 stages of the Tour De France.
Alexander Kristoff has been close, but not close enough. Other Top 10 contenders could be John Degenkolb, Timothy Dupont, Andrea Pasqualon, Dion Smith and Thomas Boudat.
