TURKEY v NETHERLANDS BETTING PREVIEW
Turkey drew 1-1 against Latvia as a late strike from Valerijs Sabala dealt a hammer blow to their hopes of securing automatic qualification from Group A. Anyway, they remain in contention to secure at least a play-off berth. The Turks though have been generally solid over the last 10 months and are unbeaten in their last six matches.
Despite currently being unable to play for new club Barcelona, team star and captain Arda Turan is available for this clash. Free-kicks specialist Calhanoglu will start in midfield while Burak Yilmaz will play as lone stiker in Fatih Terim's 4-5-1 formation.
Netherlands look out of contention for automatic qualification following a 1-0 defeat to Group A leaders Iceland in Danny Blind's first game in charge. They are currently on the third position behind Iceland and Czech Republic, with 10 points from seven matches. With three games left, Czech Republic can secure second spot if they beat Latvia and Netherlands fail to pick up all three points.
The Oranje will be missing Bruno Martins Indi, as he was sent off in the match against Iceland and new Southampton signing and uncapped Virgil van Dijk is likely to start. Sunderland winger Jermaine Lens has been called up to replace Robben, who is injured. Man UTD's Memphis Depay and Newcastle's Georgino Wijnladum will provide support to Jan Klaas Huntelaar up front while Blind is likely to play as left back.
When Turkey and Holland met in the reverse fixture in the Netherlands back in March, the match finished level, with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar equalising in stoppage time for the Oranje team. The last seven mutual matches between Turkey and Netherlands ended with less than 2.5 goals.
