UKRAINE v SLOVENIA BETTING PREVIEW
Six wins from ten saw Ukraine finish 3rd in Group C, narrowly missing out on automatic qualification by three points. Mikail Fomenko's men have lost just two of their last 17 matches on their own turf – against Slovakia and Spain – and have kept 11 clean sheets during that run.
Fomenko will be without the suspended pair of Olexandr Kucher and Taras Stepanenko while Ruslan Rotan will miss both legs with a hamstring injury. Anyway, Andriy Pyatov is available having recoverd a knock. Kravets will play as lone forward but Konoplyan, Rybka and Yarmolenko will provide offensive support.
Slovenia go into the game on a three-match unbeaten streak but they were third in Group E behind England and Switzerland. Despite Katanec's men have lost eight of their last 10 matches away from home, they also showed they can cause problems on their travels as they lead 2-0 in Switzerland before eventually succumbing 3-2.
Katanec is able to bring back Miso Brecko, Sinisa Andjelkovic and Benjamin Verbic but Tim Matavž, Nejc Skubic and Dejan Trajkovski have all been dropped. Novakovic will lead the line with Ilicic, Birsa and Kampl just behind him.
This will be the fifth times these sides have faced off, Slovenia are yet to taste defeat against Ukraine (W2 D2).
